Please join us in welcoming Dr. Shonda Harris-Mohammed to the CCPS family!

Charles City County Public Schools is excited to welcome Dr. Shonda Harris-Mohammed as our new Assistant Superintendent, beginning October 1, 2026. In her new role, Dr. Harris-Mohammed will provide leadership for curriculum and instruction, assessment and accountability, and many other areas that support the academic success of our students and schools.

Dr. Harris-Mohammed brings a wealth of experience in education and school division leadership. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of roles, including Acting Superintendent, Director of Testing and Pupil Personnel, Principal, Assistant Principal, Mathematics Specialist, and School Testing Coordinator. 

Her diverse experiences and commitment to students, educators, and school communities will be a wonderful addition to CCPS as we continue our Dream Big journey and work together to strengthen student outcomes and support our schools.

We are excited to have Dr. Harris-Mohammed join our team and become part of the Charles City community!
