Principal's Message

Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year at Charles City High School.  As principal, I feel honored to have the opportunity to interact daily with students and their families.  Our goal is to prepare students to be successful in and out of the classroom.  We have hired several new faculty and staff members who are excited to become part of the Panther Family.

High standards and expectations for each student concerning academic performance, co-curricular participation, and responsible citizenship are the heart of our school.  As a Panther, it is important to set goals to help you stay focus during the year.  Your goals should include:

  • Raising your GPA above 2.5.

  • Missing no more than four total days during the school year.

  • Becoming active in at least one activity this year.

  • Attending at least one sporting event or academic event every semester.

Our theme this year will be “PANTHER PRIDE” which stands for Preparation, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence.  It is important for our students to integrate this theme into their everyday lives in order to take full advantage of the opportunities offered at Charles City High School.  This year also brings changes to the Code of Conduct.  Below are a few notable changes:

  • Cell phones are off and away during the school day.

  • Dress code will be strictly enforced.

  • Regular school attendance and arriving on time to school will be a priority for our students.

  • No tolerance fighting or bullying practice.

I look forward to getting to know each one of you and ensuring we have a successful school year. I am excited at the possibilities and hope to share those successes with you and your family.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
